Voting for the standing posts in Azamgarh today

Azamgarh. District Magistrate/District Election Officer (Pt) Rajesh Kumar said that during the three-tier Panchayat General Election-2021, no nomination papers were received on certain posts and after the completion of the election, the elections on the posts remained vacant due to the death of the winning candidate or other reasons. A program has been issued to get the same done, in which elections are to be conducted on the posts of Member Gram Panchayat, Pradhan Gram Panchayat and Member Area Panchayat, for which polling will be held on 12th June 2021 from 07.00 AM to 08.00 PM and counting of votes. On June 14, 2021 from 08.00 a.m. till the end of the work, it will be completed at the respective development block headquarters. Polling parties will leave from the respective development block headquarters on 11 June 2021 for voting.
He said that all the sub-district magistrates of the district are hereby appointed as super zonal magistrates and they are directed that they should take care of the development blocks falling under their tehsil. We will continue to do the rounds and in case of any difficulty, we will get the problem resolved by establishing coordination with the concerned Returning Officer, Block Development Officer and Zonal Magistrate. All the sub-divisional magistrates will also ensure that one of the Tehsildar/Tehsildar Judicial/Nayab Tehsildar will be present compulsorily during the departure, polling and counting of polling parties on the development block falling under their tehsil.
