Many educational institutions of the country will be part of the Jahan Hai to Jahan Hai campaign.
Mumbai. Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Thursday said that a nationwide campaign will be launched by social and educational institutions to curb nefarious and vested interests spread rumors and apprehensions against the vaccination campaign launched in India. He said that the State Haj Committees, Waqf Board, their affiliate organizations, Central Waqf Council, Maulana Azad Education Foundation and other social and educational institutions would be part of Jaan Hai To Jahan Hai campaign.
The senior BJP leader told reporters that women self-help groups would also be included in the campaign. These groups will give people information about some of the narrow-minded people who create fear and confusion over vaccines. Such elements are enemies of the health and well being of the people. These above organizations and groups will inspire people to get vaccines to deal with the global pandemic. “Unfortunately some narrow minded elements are creating confusion and fear on the vaccination front,” Naqvi said. They are not only enemies of the health and welfare of the people but also of the country. We have to be careful with these people. He said that the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is running the world’s largest COVID-19 vaccination campaign in India. So far, about 24.30 crore people have been vaccinated in the country. Naqvi had also presided over the review meeting of Haj 2021 at Haj House in South Mumbai earlier in the day. He said that preparations related to this year’s Haj pilgrimage have been completed but in view of the global pandemic, India will respect whatever decision taken by the Saudi Arabian government regarding the annual pilgrimage.
